About Me: After receiving my Bachelor's Degree in Communications from Concordia University at Austin, I worked in the advertising industry for several years. From there, I decided to embark on an adventure and purchased a small sailboat rental business on the island of Caye Caulker, Belize. It was there, on this small island that didn't have a high school at the time, that I fell in love with the idea of teaching after spending lots of time tutoring local kids that wanted to further their education past middle school.
Upon returning to the United States, I pursued a Master's Degree in Education with a focus on Curriculum & Instruction. I began my teaching career in 2007 as a Junior English and Communications Teacher. Over the years, I have created a strong passion for teaching classes that fit into the career and technical industry. I enjoy working with the students as they explore career options and begin to see their future in a realistic fashion.
I live in Elgin with my husband, six year old daughter, two dogs (Blanca & Rosie), and cat (Tamale). I look forward to a long career at Manor High School! Please feel free to contact me at any time.
