Manor High School's Cheerleading Squad capped off a historic 2017-18 year with one last national competition.
MHS Cheerleaders Jayla Quichocho and Shelby Darilek represented Manor at the 17th Annual Cheer Hawaii USA camp from June 21-28. The girls participated with others from around the country in various cheer activities. They also toured several sites in Hawaii. Cheer Hawaii provides a blend of College prep cheer instruction with an incredible Hawaii experience and is by invite only.
The camp focuses on three areas: building cheer skills and preparing for the college level, growth in leadership, and experiencing the Hawaiian culture. Selection is based on:
*Good basic cheer skills
*Desire to learn and improve
*Excellence in academics
Hawaii was not the only state MHS visited. In November, the Mustang Cheerleaders performed at the nationally televised Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.
