I'm pleased to be returning to Manor High School for the 2017-18 school year and look forward to what's in store for the district with hope and optimism.
This is my second year teaching, but I have served as a substitute in numerous classrooms over the past several years and look forward to building positive relationships with students for many years to come! I am currently Highly Qualified in 5 subject areas including Family & Consumer Science, English for grades 7-12, Health for all grades, Health Science grades 6-12, and Speech grades 7-12. My Baccalaureate degree in Nursing was awarded in 2014 and I have been a Registered Nurse since 2012.
I grew up as an Air Force brat and have lived in Texas, Oklahoma, Germany, and Hawai'i. Coincidentally, I met and married my husband of nearly 25 years while still attending high school in Hawai'i. How many folks can say they got married in Hawai'i, right?
I'm the mother of 5 GREAT kids (in case they see this...) - 2 amazing young men who graduated from Taylor High in 2015, 1 lovely daughter who is a sophomore at Taylor HS, and twin terrors, I mean two little boy blessings... who are in 4th grade.
I enjoy painting, singing, and reading big fat books whenever possible. If you'd like to come visit one of my classes sometime, please contact me and it might be arranged. Have a wonderful day, & GO MUSTANGS!
