Manor High School Administration is bringing back the “Parents As Supporters” Program!
Parents that volunteer at the school by serving on committees, chaperoning trips, working concession, supporting any Clubs or judging competitions may earn a free yearbook for their child. The parent must have volunteered 40 hours over the 2016-2017 school year in order to qualify. Ineligible activities are attending mandatory meetings or watching your child perform. This program has not been in place in the last 3 years so we are excited to offer it again. Only parents of Manor High School parents may apply since the money is coming from the high school budget.
There are many good reasons for you to get involved in your child’s education. Research shows that the more parents are involved, the better their children do in school. Did you know that when parents and educators work together, students have higher grades, better attendance and fewer discipline issues? The Parents as Supporters (PAS) program is an incentive program for parents who volunteer at their child’s school throughout the year.
