The 9 Day Film Challenge is a project requiring AVP classes to create a short film within nine class days. Each class randomly selects a genre and films must include parameters such as a specified prop, character and line of dialogue. The completed films are screened during a lunch reception where faculty and staff members vote for Audience Favorite and other categories such as Best Directing, Best Editing, Best use of Prop... Alamo Drafthouse Cinema traditionally sponsors the event. They offer movie passes to Audience Favorite winners and the Best Screenplay Award recipient.
